In Cooperation with the Journalists' Syndicate Lafarge Egypt launches the Diploma of Business Administration Fundamentals for Egyptian Media Professionals

Cairo, 23rd February 2019: Lafarge Egypt, a member of LafargeHolcim, announced the launch of the Diploma of Business Administration fundamentals, targeting the Egyptian media professionals, out of its belief that the development of the Egyptian economy and the achievement of the sustainable development plans require the serious and fruitful cooperation of all stakeholders, on top of which are the media entities. The "Diploma of Business Administration Fundamentals” will be held in cooperation with the economic division of the Journalists' Syndicate and the Arab Academy for Science Technology & Maritime Transport, graduates studies section, during February and March 2019. 

 

On this occasion, Eng. Hussein Mansi, Lafarge Egypt CEO said: "We seek to have a positive contribution to the creation of an integral system for all parties. We believe that our success depends on the development of all our partners including contractors, traders, governmental bodies, consumers, and various media outlets.”

From his side, Nagy Abdel Aziz, head of the economic division in the Journalists' Syndicate noted, "Our aim from offering trainings in general, and when it comes to Lafarge Egypt diploma in specific, is to provide the media with a holistic vision to help them better analyze the Egyptian economy challenges and opportunities ".

The "Diploma of Business Administration Fundamentals” organized by Lafarge Egypt would contribute to enriching the experiences of Egyptian journalists. This is to keep pace with the variables that have an impact on the economic developments in Egypt. The diploma would also open the prospects concerning several important specializations that would enable journalists to address various topics more deeply after they enrich their knowledge with the help of business administration experts. The diploma would include topics like the fundamentals of business administration, marketing, strategic management, companies' governance, combating corruption, and international law.   

It is worth mentioning that Lafarge Egypt has participated in several initiatives that contributed to the development of various sectors in Egypt. These initiatives included the vocational health and safety program which was implemented in cooperation with the Vocational Education Directorate in Suez and benefited more than 27,000 students there. This is in addition to the conference hosted by Lafarge which addressed the advanced solutions for the roads sector in Egypt with the attendance of key decision makers and experts. There is also the sustainable construction forum which will be organized by LafargeHolcim Foundation. The forum will be held in Egypt for the first time next April and would witness the participation of experts  concerned with the building sector from 52 countries.
